Introducing Ulticards

Many of you might have known them for a while now. But for those of you who haven't yet, here's a little review on what ULTICARDS is all about.

Get Horizontal has had the privilege of receiving a set of these nice cards to check out and review on Europe's Finest Online Ultimate Magazine.
So what are they really ?

Ulticards, what's in a name, is a set of cards with instructions to taking your game of Ultimate to the next level. From basic beginner material to the advanced level, this is a great tool for anyone who is looking for new ways to develop skills, throws and strategies. It's basically a great resource for anyone looking to improve their game. And it looks good. Nick Fothergill and Evan Phillips as founders of Ulticards have carefully thought about the design, and slimmed the cards down to the basics, where every play is very clearly explained and will have you using the tips and tricks in no time. Add a nice casing to that and you have a very nice product which is/has :

-easy to use
-colour coded categories (e.g. strategy, warmup, throwing,...)
-simple explanations (no rocket science)
-professional info and streamlined content
-allround from beginners to advanced players
-decent insights
-basically it's a collection of all the things which for me took some time to figure out but here it's all in one as a great tool for today's Ultimate athletes.

I could keep adding things to this list to make my point clear, but here's one quote that says it all :

"I wish I had these cards when I was a beginning player.
I also wish I had these cards when I started teaching Ultimate to younger and newer players.
Finally I'm really glad I have these cards now that I'm an experienced player and teacher."

Ulticards is a great, well-developed concept that will help the sport grow.
There's multiple versions already out, each with a different view on the game, or focusing on a certain aspect.
